Supper Food for the night crawlers - Nasi Lemak Bumbung @Seapark

If you are looking for nasi lemak at wee hour of the nights, you may try and visit Nasi Lemak Bumbung at Seapark PJ. It open from 6.00pm to 3.00am or 4.00am (Depends on the crowds or the available food their have) on Saturday to Thursday and only closed on Friday.

The famous nasi lemak at Seapark PJ

I get to know this place from a friend of mine which introduce me this addicted nasi lemak especially the sambal nasi lemak and the fried chicken with spices. The waiters look similar might be siblings and you amaze with their skills remembering the orders and can calculate the price like calculator.
According to my friend, previously they opened just beside the road before people start to complaint as it congested the traffic flow. So, they decide to open up in the back alley between two shop houses.
The alley is not on totally flat ground but slightly some tables are at a slope ground. When peak hours, the alley will be full until the end. The alley is well lighted with colour florescent lights and well ventilated with factory metal size fans. The best things, there is no stench smells from the drain and it quite clean. You can also opt to seat outside Maybank ATM but the allocated seat is limited. First comes first seat basic. No need to be shy to look for empty seat or table.
Don’t be amaze, after you had placed your order from the waiter your food will be arriving first than your drinks. It’s normal here as the nasi lemak is easy to prepare than drinks. Besides that, some patrons are like vultures for empty seat. Some will stand beside your table if there see you finish your meals.

Back to the nasi lemak portion consist of one piece of chicken's parts fried until crispy with intensely-flavorful and golden brown in color outside but yet maintain the soft and warm meats inside….  (I’m guessing you will start to drools with this statement. kikikikikiki ). When you have a taste of the chicken, you will order another plate of chicken and additional rice. The egg they prepared in 'mata kerbau'-style dunno what their called in English might be “sunny side-up”.  Now we go to the rice part, it well cooked and fragrant and the problem is the portion. If you are big eater, the portion is just like a small bump on the plate. Next, the sambal which is sweet and nice to eat (not that spicy but just nice).

There is other nasi lemak you can try which is mutton and kosong. I tried the mutton but i still prefer the fried chicken. I'd yet to try the indomie mee but maybe my next trip there i will try and taste. But based on other bloggers feedback on it, it just an ordinary Ibumie Mi Goreng with telur mata kerbau. you may read from the following blog.

As for the location, the shop is easy to be spotted as it just beside Maybank Seapark. The address of the shop is at following address:-

A day trip to Universal Studio - Part 2

It seems like ages I didn’t update my blog. I received a lot of weird of comments on my past post. I think I lost my passion to write due to hectic work. So, to begin with I’ll continue with previous blog on Part 2 on my trip to Universal Studio Singapore.

As been mentioned on my previous post, do not try the BGS back to back. You will regret, but you’re insists you may go calm yourself on Madagascar rides. So we went to Madasgascar section which was sponsored by Maybank. There were a lot of outlet but we try “A Crate Adventure” where you seat in a boat for safari tour.

The iconic Madagascar ship.

Not to worries about food, each theme park have their own food court.

Mary go round anyone?

Although the ride is not that shacky, but it really do ease from dizziness. After we’d spent our time here, we went back to Shrek theme park. The castle was beautiful. The thing that you should try here is the 4D shows. You must try it when you visit here. You not only can watch the adventure in 3D, you can do as well feel the effect like spider crawling under your feet, water splashing on your face and etc.

After we had our ride, we shoot up to The Mummies theme park for the roller coaster. This is a must go roller coaster ride. During this time, my dizziness is subdued and able to cope the G force from the ride. For those who are having heart problem or breathing problem, my advice is not to take the risk. This ride is full of adrenaline as you are totally buckled on your seat in total darkness.

Once we finish our ride, the next stop is the show at Water World. Please take note, if you expecting to get wet, please bring along extra clothes like we did and do remind the color of your seating. The front row and middle, expect to get wet. The shows last for 20 minutes with full explosion and stunts.

Don't seat in front row if you don't tend to get wet

The action begins with shooting and explosion.

After we finish our show, we went to the last ride at Jurasic Park the lost world. This ride is where you are seated on a buoy with a bunch of people max of 8 persons. Do not expect you could be out of it dry although you purchase a disposable raincoat, I saw few person which rode the ride before us are totally wet.

Welcome to Jurasic Park

This machines does help you to get dry if you get wet.

All in all, the trip is awesome. Tips for those who wanna ride the whole ride in one day, do purchase the “Express Lane” ticket. Trust me, it worth it.

A day trip to Universal Studio Singapore - Part 1

Last month on February 2012, I manage to go to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) with two of my colleagues. We went there after our last day training held at our Singapore office. We managed to buy the ticket online with express pass. We bought the express pass as we want to bypass the long queue for rides offering at USS.
Need to interchange from the MRT at VIVO city to this monorail station

One need to buy the ticket from the vending machine for S$3.00

The station was pack with tourist.

USS opens its gate to visitors at 10:00a.m. On Friday, we decide to check out from hotels and put our bags in our office before heading to USS. The public transport in Singapore is much more efficient in KL but it was quite pack during peak hours. Carrying a big luggage in a train it seems like a bib “NO NO” as most of the passengers in the train will be looking at you with a kind of looks. Since it was our last day, we just make “muka seposen” aka thick face.
After we put our luggage in our office, we went to Vivo city where we will need embark a monorail which link Singapore island to Sentosa Island. The ticket cost is S$3 for 2 ways trip. You many need to keep this ticket and don’t loose it.
We have our breakfast at VIVO city and when we reach at the monorail ticket vending machine, there was a long queue. We thought that during weekdays there will be less patrons going to Universal Studios but it does not what we expect. Mostly of the patrons going to USS are from the mainland China. At the station, most of them does not queue entering the monorail and they keep on pushing each other. We decide to take the next monorail but yet it was packed like a sardine in a can. We manage to squeeze ourselves in as it we wait; we won’t be able to catch our flight back home in the evening.

The ride from Vivo to USS station took around less than 8 minutes. It was nice scenery along the way. When we reach at our station, I start to snap the photo. The important snap was the iconic Universal rotating globe.
Since we bought our ticket online, there is no need for us to queue for purchasing the ticket. I and my other colleague start to snap photos with all the building and scenery. For our first rides was the Transformer: The Rides which is the latest attraction at Sci Fi section in USS. We managed to seat at front rows and you can feel the adrenalin rush through your blood vessel (Two thumbs up for the ride).

Inside Transformer: The Ride

One of the ride which we skip

This ride is just spinning you around inside the so called cup.

Then we went to our 2nd destination which was the Battle Star Gallactica (BGS) roller coaster rides. It was the main attraction rides in USS. When we reach the rides counter, it was close due to technical problem and it will be open until further notice from the management. It was a disappointment for us.
Then we decide to go to Monster Rock at the New York section and we rush ourselves there. Once we have seated at the theatre hall, the shows runs for 8 minutes and then technical problems occurs and we were instructed to empty the halls. What a frustrated days for us.

Inside the halls for Monster Rock

Going out from the theater, we decide to go to Steven Spielberg special effects shows. It was a shows where you will be behind the scene how sound, lightings and special effect was done. We were in the front rows and guess what, I got splashed by water. It was indeed refreshing for me.
Once we out from the special effects studios, we saw BGS was functioning back again. So we rushed ourselves to the roller coaster and we took on the “Human” rides first. This is a sit-down coaster designed for riders wanting a roller coaster experience without inversions, which makes up one side of the Battlestar Galactica duelling coaster. The trains are modeled after theColonial Mark II Viper and utilize lap restraints, giving the rider total upper body freedom. At certain points along the ride, the coaster can reach speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour (56 mph). Three of us was seated in front rows and the feeling of fright is really there.
Then, we took on the “Cylon” rides. This time we were seated on the 2nd rows. The Cylon coaster's train design is based on the Cylon heavy Raider as seen in Battlestar Galactica, it is a suspended roller coaster which performs intense maneuvers including a total of 5 inversions in the form of a Cobra roll, corkscrews, vertical loop, and a zero-g roll. The Cylon coaster also plunges into a 5-meter (16 ft) deep pit filled with artificial fog to give thrill seekers the sensation of a near miss with the ground. It also includes many sudden turns close to buildings emphasizing the sensation of near misses throughout the ride.

Don't take your meal if you intend to play this rides.

After this rides, it really had an effect on me. I can feel the dizziness and about to puke the food which I ate this morning. But I managed to control myself from making a scene by drinking more fluids. It takes time for me to recover from the sudden dizziness which keeps my 2 colleagues worried. Plus with the weather is hot, it really does not really help. I think I will continue talking about this in Part 2.
