MN99S Crawler RC for beginner

It 2021 and I just managed to get back on my blog. Not sure is there any followers for my blogs. But if there is any, I'm back!!!!

As far what we know, pandemic hits most of us either in the way we works and socialize this days. That's is the new norm for us.

I took up a new hobby which is crawler RC. Purchase it as for fun to play around in my neighbourhood and beginning to upgrade the parts eventually. Bought a MN90 in the begining of the hobby as for fun. The things run smoothly and it only can be played around 10 minutes.

First look when it just came out the box.

As the.look out of the box look like a toy. Gradually i change the look like the real D9O Fire Edition.

Repaint with few candy colors to get as close as the real thing.

Put more details like front kangaroo bar with custom plate number.

Rear look with teh rear bumper. The tyre I had widen it to make it lool have some grip on the ground.

Since it only can be played for less than 10 minutes, decide to purchase another LiPo battery with higher capacity. Then when i plugin a higher capacity battery, I fried the electronics. facepalm... didn't know the ESC can't handle higher capacity battery.

Then that didn't stop me. After 3 montsh, i purchase another upgrade version MN99s which is much more better than MN90. It using metal link and it can be played more than 40 minutes as the ESC and battery are larger. Then ideas struck, let do a D90 Military Edition.

I order some upgraded parts and guess what, from a picture I taken from the internet, I materialized on my small 1:12 scale MN99s. Using car wrap stickers, I manage to pulled it off.

Almost look like the real thing with uprgaded parts.

Metal link rod, metal axle and single speed 370 brushless motor for torque.

The upgraded part is minor and there is still long way to go. With this new hobby it make me more sanity intake as i'm still working from home nearly 2 years. Do comments and follow my blogs. I'm still learning on the new templates xml editors. will keep on posting on the blogs and instagram.
