Looking for Chinese food which is Halal is looking for a needle in piles of hay in Key Ell. In Brickfields, you may find a row of shop which is selling no pork but halal food are selling. Although it been said as Halal, some people still doubts the status as the operator is a Chinese. Those muslim which is open minded, they won’t mind to eat in the shop.

Each times my friends or relatives comes to Key Ell, Medan Selera Ah Goh is the shop i always bring them. Me and my wife are a regular patron to the shop and the worker and the owner know both of us. The favourite dish which we will order if i bring in my friend and a relative to the shop is Ah Goh Assam Fish Special with steam Siakap fish. I really love the gravy. Even i ask for the recipe, the chef won't give it to me. This is a highly recommended menu by me with 2 thumb ups.

Beside that, the Claypot tofu is also another menu that u should try. The shop also sell alcoholic beverage as well to enjoy with the food. The worker working there are really friendly. It almost 3 year i'm in KL and i make friend with them. One of them is called Uncle and he's really friendly and funny guy.

Inside the shop, there is a paper clipping on the walls pertaining the shop history and uncle photo is inside. The paper clipping is from The Star i guess. The shop open at 6:30pm and close on 2:00a.m. You may also as for food catering from them but they do not have catering utensils. You need to bring your on container for the food and the price is quite reasonable and cheap.
Note: The shop had been move to new location. Please refer to the map below:-
